Assessment Services

A range of assessments are available and are conducted from a neurodiversity affirming approach. Assessments can can help individuals and others with better understanding a person's thinking, feeling and experiencing the world. It can also help guide accommodations and modifications in key environments (e.g. school, work and home).

1. Initial Clinical Interview

During this initial session, a fill developmental history and interview will be conducted (1.5 hours). This appointment will also be used to determine which assessment tools will be used in your assessment,

2. Psychological Assessment Sessions

Psychological Assessment sessions are conducted with the person who is being assessed and include the use of specific assessment tools and observation methods.

3. Information from others (family and professionals)

Information is typically gathered from a range of sources (questionnaires, telephone conversations, previous reports)

4. Report and Feedback

You will be provided with a comprehensive report outlining the results and recommendations. The Feedback session is an opportunity to explain the contents of the report, discuss recommendations and answer questions.

Autism: Children and adults (ADOS-2 and MIGDAS), SRS-2, CAT-Q including assessment of Pathological Demand Avoidance Profile

ADHD: Children and adults: Connors EC, Connors 4, CAARS and DIVA Interview

Social and emotional Functioning: BASC-3

Adaptive Functioning: Vinelands, ABAS

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Assessments: Using a range of tools
